Thé glacé au Earl Grey & romarin

Earl Grey & Rosemary Iced Tea

Elegant, subtle, timeless... Earl Grey is a classic that reinvents itself perfectly as an iced version. At Chill Tea Atelier, we love it with an unexpected aromatic touch: fresh rosemary. A surprising combination that evokes summer, garden herbs, and a certain idea of simple luxury. And yes, at Chill Tea Atelier, we like to surprise.

Ingredients (for 1L of iced tea)

  • 1 Liter of cold water

  • 2 tablespoons of Chill Tea Atelier organic Earl Grey

  • 1 sprig of fresh rosemary

  • 2 thin slices of organic lemon

  • A few ice cubes

  • (Optional) A spoon of maple syrup or honey

Preparation

  1. Cold brew

Pour cold water into a large carafe and add the loose tea (in a tea ball or loose, to be strained afterwards). Let it steep for 6 to 8 hours in the refrigerator. This gentle method reveals delicate aromas without bitterness.

  2. Add the aromas

Slip a sprig of rosemary and the lemon slices into the carafe. Let it infuse for another 1 hour.

  3. Strain and serve

Strain the tea if necessary. Serve very cold with ice cubes in a tall glass. A touch of maple syrup softens the natural bitterness of black tea and pairs perfectly with bergamot.

Creative variations

  • Replace the lemon with blood orange for a softer and more colorful touch.

  • Add a few fresh red berries for a surprising visual and taste effect.

A note from the workshop

This Earl Grey iced tea is a drink with character: refreshing, slightly woody, perfect for accompanying a read in the sun or a chic alcohol-free aperitif.
