Let us take a moment to review the basics, because making tea isn't just about boiling water and pouring it over a tea bag!
A little botany lesson before tasting and appreciating your favorite tea.
What is tea?
All true teas come from the same plant: Camellia sinensis. For all types of tea (Green, Black, White, Oolong), the same leaf is used.
So, how can one tea plant produce all these variations?
Each type of tea is determined by its planting location, age, harvest time, and processing: dried, roasted, fermented, or steamed. Each type of tea is steeped at a particular temperature – from barely warm to boiling. Don't worry, it might seem complicated, but our Tea Master has prepared an express training session for you.
What you need to know.

What you'll need
- 1 Perfect tea spoon
- 200ml hot water
- 1 200ml cup with infuser

STEP 1
Measure your tea
Measure the perfect dose of your tea like a pro using the Chill Tea Atelier perfect tea spoon. A stainless steel spoon designed to help you measure your tea correctly.
Simply put the number of spoonfuls (according to the instructions on your tea's recipe card) into your 200ml mug filter.

STEP 2
Pour in the hot water
Now that your tea is in place, it's time to fill your cup with hot water as indicated on the recipe card.
Why respect the temperature: if you use water that is too hot, you risk burning your leaves; if it's not hot enough, you'll end up with a very bland-tasting tea.
To ensure you get the best possible results, follow the pictograms under each recipe card or packaging.

STEP 3
Infuse
Now it's time to set your timer as indicated, to give your tea the necessary time to express itself and release all its aromas.

STEP 4
Remove the filter from your cup
You can now enjoy your perfectly brewed tea.
