Christmas Recipe: Christmas Black Tea with Milk & Mountain Honey

A warm, comforting drink, to be savored slowly in an armchair, with a blanket over your shoulders, a crackling fire, with family or friends...

A tea that warms the body and soothes the mind.

Ingredients (1 large cup)

  • 3g of organic Assam black tea from Chill Tea Atelier

  • 200 ml of water

  • 100 ml of whole milk or almond milk

  • 1 small cinnamon stick

  • 1 pinch of freshly grated nutmeg

  • 1 clove

  • 1 teaspoon of mountain honey

  • 1 thin strip of organic orange peel

  • (optional) a dash of vanilla

Preparation (slow & cozy)

  1. Heat the water with the cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, and orange.

    Let it simmer gently for 5 minutes, like a perfume in the air.

  2. Add the black tea and let it infuse for 3 to 4 minutes.

  3. Pour in the milk, reduce the heat, and heat for another 2 minutes without boiling.

  4. Strain, sweeten with honey.

  5. Serve very hot, in a preheated thick cup.

The Chill tip

Serve this tea:

  • in a thick stoneware or ceramic cup

  • with a cinnamon stick

  • accompanied by a square of dark chocolate or a homemade biscuit

Drink slowly , watching the snow fall.

Christmas is not about excess.
