Comment préparer son Hojicha en poudre

How to prepare powdered Hojicha

Preparing powdered Hojicha is an excellent way to enjoy a sweet and comforting drink, offering an alternative to coffee.

Its roasted and woody aromas make it a soothing choice to enjoy at any time of day. Unlike loose-leaf tea, powdered Hojicha does not require steeping. It mixes with water, similar to matcha, which allows for a smoother and more flavorful consistency.

For optimal preparation:

Start by heating water or milk to a temperature between 75°C and 85°C.

In a cup, add between 1/2 and 1 teaspoon of powdered Hojicha.

Then pour in a little hot liquid and stir vigorously to eliminate lumps.

Finish by adding the rest of the water or milk.

Hojicha latte is particularly popular. Its sweetness, subtly toasted and almost chocolatey notes, as well as its low caffeine content, make it an ideal drink for relaxing and recentering, whether in the morning or evening.
